News & Events


VARSITY THIS WEEK--The weather is finally warming up a bit, so plan on supporting your Leon Lions this week.  Valdosta comes to take on the Lions Varsity, at 6:00 Tuesday, March 9th.  Then the Lions head into Cougar country Thursday March 11th to face Godby at 4:30 and finish the week in a battle against the Trojans 7:00 Friday March 12th at Lincoln.  Come out and enjoy some great baseball!

JV & FRESHMAN THIS WEEK--JV plays at home Thursday March 11th against Godby at 5:00 and then take on the Trojans at 4:30 Friday March 12 at Lincoln just before the Varsity game.  The Freshman continue to hone their skills and play great competion as they head to Cairo for tournament play this week.

HOME RUN SIGNS --The LHS baseball team would like to thank everyone that has supported us by purchasing a home run sign! Click here for sign listing.

BOOSTER MEETINGS-- Booster meetings are the first Tuesday of each month. They begin at 6:30 p.m. and are held in the cafeteria unless otherwise notified. Please plan on at least one parent from each family attending.

NEW LEON BASEBALL PROGRAM CALENDAR--We have recently posted a master calendar that includes all three teams with their corresponding schedules.  This should make it easier for anyone who wants to know which teams are playing when so you can attend and root for our Leon Lions.  Just go to the "schedule" section of our website and click on "2010 Master Schedule Calendar".

LEON ALUMNI BASEBALL CLUB -- Check out the Leon Alumni Baseball Club website for alumni information and activities.  The Hall of Fame recognizes one or two alums per decade (based on year of graduation).  For more information on alums inducted, visit their website.
